Article: Conversation with Bea Fagerholt and Liv Winther

Conversation with Bea Fagerholt and Liv Winther

We're thrilled to share this journal with Bea Fagerholt and Liv Winther, the founders of clean skincare line HONEY and the highly defining motherhood site To The Moon, Honey. They embody everything we're drawn to at GRAUMANN, ambitious and professional women dedicated to high standards of quality. We asked them about how they started a business together, their newly launched face mist and their very Danish summer plans.

Is your friendship new or old? And how did you decide starting a business together?

BEA: "Our friendship started when we gave birth to our sons, Frank & Eddie, on the same day in April 2017. We knew each other peripherally, but as two newborn mothers, we found a safe space with each other where we could share our thoughts, doubts, and all the feelings that come with being a mother. During our maternity leave, we often talked about the need for a place where all women could share their experiences, search for inspiration, and most importantly, a place where you would get the feeling of not being alone. We wanted to give motherhood the attention it deserves. And that was the beginning of To The Moon, Honey—and later on, our clean skincare brand HONEY."

What is your mission with HONEY clean skincare?

LIV: "Our vision with HONEY Skincare is to offer clean, effective products you can trust through every stage of life. Rooted in self-love, our fragrance-free formulas deliver results without compromising your health or skin’s natural balance.

We hold ourselves to the highest standards, with certifications from AllergyCertified, COSMOS Organic, and The Nordic Swan Ecolabel. Finding the balance between active ingredients and gentle care isn’t easy - but that’s exactly what HONEY is all about."

A lot of women follow To The Moon, Honey and especially your podcast about giving birth.  How do you prepare your guests to feel safe enough to open up and telling their personal stories about giving birth?

BEA: “We strongly believe that every woman has a right to her own story. There is no recipe, but it's all about showing them that their story and feelings are in safe hands – every episode is proof of that. Our podcast is a beautiful spiral of personal stories that can either heal or inspire other women.”

Congrats on launching your new face mist! What was the process behind it?

LIV: "We’ve actually spent the past two years developing  the prebiotic face mist, because we wanted to create something truly effective and in harmony with the skin’s natural balance. And finding the perfect pale pink color for the packaging also took quite some time!

But our main focus — as it always is with HONEY — has been the skin microbiome, which we believe is the key to healthy, resilient skin. The mist is formulated with prebiotics, which essentially act as food for the good bacteria on your skin. By supporting the microbiome, the product helps strengthen the skin barrier, reduce sensitivity, and promote a natural glow. It’s been a long, thoughtful process, but we’re incredibly proud of the result."

How are you spending the summer holiday?

BEA: "I love spending summertime in Denmark, and we will mainly be at our summerhouse in Kikhavn, north of Copenhagen. However, I'm also dreaming of travelling too - just to get out of our routine at home, pull the plug, and enjoy the taste and smell of being away."

LIV: "I’ll spend most of July at our summer house in Rørvig, Denmark, trying to switch into the slowest gear possible. Crab fishing at the harbour, paddleboarding, and reading books about women turning 50 — so many good books out there on that topic — but I’m sure a bit of work will also sneak in this summer. And that’s okay. We always keep one week open to go away if the weather gets too cold in Denmark."
